anyone try 1000mgs of test cyp?

So my last two cycles which were my first two I did 500 milligrams of testosterone on both and had pretty good results
however I noticed that my weight gains stalled around week 8 on both Cycles
a friend of mine said that I should increase the amount of testosterone I’m using on my next cycle because my body is getting too used to it
that said have any of you tried using 1000 milligrams of testosterone and how did you like it relative to side effects
